ABOUT THE COMPANY 

ZEME Eco Fuels and Alloys Ltd has established a state-of-the-art facility for recycled aluminium processing, producing aluminium alloys in the form of ingots. Zeme uses energy-efficient induction furnaces, which allow it to address niche clients and market segments. The Company’s eco-friendly production facility, the first of its kind in Cyprus, is located in the Ypsonas Industrial Area in Limassol, Cyprus. 

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

ZEME is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to ensure that all the processing equipment is operating correctly and safely and to develop and implement a program of preventative maintenance. Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES                                        

The specific duties as Industrial Maintenance Technician will include:

  • Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
  • Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
  • Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
  • Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
  • Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
  • Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Rapidly diagnosing and resolving both mechanical, plus basic control and instrumentation faults.
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program across the entire installed.
  • Continuously work to improve performance to deliver site efficiency and performance standards.
  • Monitor, fault find, maintain and repair a wide variety of equipment
    including: water pumps, gearboxes, Hydraulic pumps and piston systems and specialist treatment, water cooling circulatory system and process machinery.
  • Maintain the site wide air extraction and movement equipment.

SELECTION CRITERIA  

Minimum

Professional Accreditation in Electrical and / or Mechanical Engineering

5 years’ experience in a similar role

Very good proficiency in English

Desirable

University degree in Engineering

REMUNERATION PACKAGE 

  • Basic gross salary €26,000 – €30,000 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.
  • 21 days annual leave, plus the usual bank/public holidays in the Republic of Cyprus.
