Electromechanical Engineer
ABOUT THE COMPANY
ZEME Eco Fuels and Alloys Ltd has established a state-of-the-art facility for recycled aluminium processing, producing aluminium alloys in the form of ingots. Zeme uses energy-efficient induction furnaces, which allow it to address niche clients and market segments. The Company’s eco-friendly production facility, the first of its kind in Cyprus, is located in the Ypsonas Industrial Area in Limassol, Cyprus.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
ZEME is seeking an experienced Electromechanical Engineer to enhance the operational efficiency and sustainability of our aluminum recycling plant. This role is pivotal in developing, implementing, and maintaining the electromechanical systems that drive our recycling processes. The Electromechanical Engineer will play a key role in ensuring our machinery and systems meet the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The specific duties as Electromechanical Engineer will include:
- Designing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all electromechanical systems involved in the recycling process.
- Conducting regular maintenance and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operation.
- Overseeing the installation, commissioning, and testing of new electromechanical equipment.
- Collaborating with the production team to ensure seamless integration of electromechanical systems with production processes.
- Leading training sessions for plant personnel on the operation and maintenance of electromechanical systems to ensure a high level of competency across the team.
- Monitoring and optimizing energy consumption of electromechanical systems to enhance sustainability and reduce operational costs.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements related to electromechanical systems and equipment.
- Assisting in the development and innovation of new recycling technologies to improve process efficiency and product quality.
- Providing technical support for the casting process and other production activities as needed.
- Keeping accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and system upgrades to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Performing additional duties and responsibilities as required to support plant operations and objectives.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Minimum
Professional Accreditation in Electrical and / or Mechanical Engineering
5 years’ experience in a similar role
Very good proficiency in English
Desirable
University degree in Engineering
REMUNERATION PACKAGE
- Basic gross salary €20,000-€30,000 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.
- 21 days annual leave, plus the usual bank/public holidays in the Republic of Cyprus.
